Bell Valley Retreat
Drawing on the perspectives of Buddhist practice, secular mindfulness, and the wisdom of the natural world, we’ll discover our innate capacity to fully open to our lives just as they are.
Supported by extensive periods of silence, our retreat includes meditation throughout the day, mindful movement, small group practice discussions, and daily dharma talks.
Depending on conditions, we'll meet outside at either the expansive outdoor amphitheater or in the light-filled open barn. There will be ample time for swimming in the pond, enjoying a hot tub, taking a hike, and space for relaxation and connection.
Bell Valley is located about 2.5 hours north of San Francisco and about 3.5 hours south of Eureka in the Anderson Valley, an area within the Navarro River Watershed – a pristine, sheltered valley surrounded by verdant rolling hills.
A variety of elegantly appointed accommodations are available at Bell Valley Retreat. Whether staying in the Toll House, Cottage, Bunk House, Barn, Tent Cabins or the Bell Tents, all spaces are designed with attention to aesthetic beauty and connection to the land.
Choose from private indoor single, semi-private or multi-person bedrooms, or spacious fully furnished luxury tent cabins or glamping tents set on wooden platform decks. Some rooms have private bathrooms, most offer shared bathroom facilities.
Each spacious tent has an awning covered porch, electricity, and heated twin beds. Bring a friend and share a Bell Tent. They're great for two and plenty spacious for one.
Choose your lodging preference with registration.
Each day our catered vegetarian meals will be nutritious, varied and carefully designed to support contemplative retreat practice. There are kitchens in each accommodation that you're welcome to use anytime if you'd like to bring any favorite items.
Everyone is welcome. The week-long Women's Summer Solstice Meditation Retreat is suitable for both beginning and seasoned practitioners. We hope you'll join us!
