    Drop-In Sitting Group

Mindfulness Meditation classes are for anyone interested in sitting with a group in supported silence. Instructions and guided meditations focus on developing mindful awareness, loving-kindness, wisdom and compassion. Anyone of any background is welcome, both experienced and new meditators alike. No sign-up is necessary. Come anytime. Everyone is Welcome!

Each class begins with a 30 minute talk drawing from both secular and Buddhist perspectives, 35 minutes of silent meditation, followed by group discussion. Taught by Heidi Bourne and periodic guest teachers as listed below.

$10 - $15 per class sliding scale and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

This fee includes the use of the Om Shala sauna. Please come anytime!

Guest Teacher

Terry Bean has been practicing and studying meditation in the Insight tradition since 2014. She is currently training in mindfulness facilitation at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center and is a member of International Mindfulness Teachers' Association. As an educator for Pacific Mindfulness, Terry periodically teaches its long-standing weekly meditation class and facilitates a small group for a local nonprofit. Terry was an elementary school teacher and the Gifted and Talented Director at Blue Lake School for 30 years. She lives in the beautiful redwoods of Northern California.
