Jen Wallace, CMF has worked as a sworn officer and civilian in law enforcement for over 30 years. She worked with the U.S. Department of Defense until her retirement in 2015, both as a front line criminal investigator and also Resident Agent in Charge in the Pacific Northwest. Upon leaving DOD, Jen worked with the Seattle Police Department (SPD) as a program advisor administering a human trafficking grant and as a volunteer with the Victim Support Team, a program that connects domestic violence victims with community services and resources. Since becoming a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA in 2014, Jen also regularly facilitates mindfulness programs for groups and organizations. Jen currently is employed by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC) as the Program Manager for Sexual Assault Investigations. There, she is collaborating with others in law enforcement and the larger sexual assault advocacy and service provider community to deliver a training program for investigators that is trauma and resiliency informed. Jen has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over a decade and is also a member of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. Additionally, Jen is a Certified Trainer for the Trauma Resource Institute’s Community Resiliency Model, which is being used in the sexual assault investigations training at CJTC.
