River Rafting & Hiking
Meditation & Movement
Delicious Meals
Peace & Quiet

A rafting trip through the San Juan’s labyrinth of dramatic red rock walls is an otherworldly experience in its own right, and our mindfulness meditation and hiking-focused trip offers a very special opportunity to slow down and truly explore the open-air museum that’s hidden within the canyon.

Here, as you twist and turn your way through one of the most beautiful and surreal landscapes in the West, you’ll discover mind-boggling remnants of ancient civilizations—vivid pictographs and petroglyphs, Ancestral Puebloan dwellings that sit nestled in the cliffs, and Moki Steps that were carved into near-vertical sandstone over 800 years ago.

Each day will begin in peaceful silence with early morning movement and meditation before breakfast, followed by a day of rafting, quiet hiking and delicious meals. In the evenings we’ll gather beside the river for a talk and meditation before we settle into silence for the night.

Check out this recent OARS interview with Heidi for a little more about this special trip: "There's Power in Silence on the River."

Come experience the beauty of the San Juan River, the magnificence of this ancient land, and precious time in the wilderness connecting with yourself, each other, and the natural world.

Everyone is Welcome
The mindfulness meditation and movement will be suited for both new and seasoned practitioners. Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.

In support of our contemplative practice and our time together, this trip will be free from alcohol and drugs as we connect with ourselves, each other and the natural world.
