Celebrate the summer solstice with a small group by spending a quiet day in the wonder, peace and beauty of nature. Our daylong retreat will focus on cultivating awareness, presence and love through the contemplative practices of meditation, writing, and silent hiking.
We'll begin the day with meditation on Dry Lagoon Sate Beach then settle into the steady rhythm of a silent hike through the lush forest leading to Stone Lagoon. At about 2.5 miles, we'll arrive at the south end of Stone Lagoon where we'll rest, talk with each other over a picnic lunch, and have time for both writing and sitting meditation. After lunch we’ll silently hike back to the beach and end our day with time to talk and a short meditation. The hike will be about 5-6 miles round-trip on gentle moderate terrain.
