  • Everyday Mindfulness for Everyday Life

Mindfulness and meditation give us the skills and resources to cultivate a clear mind, a kind heart and the ability to transform reactivity to discernment and responsiveness, especially in challenging times.

Over the course of 7 weeks, we'll explore mindfulness of the breath & body, thoughts & emotions, loving-kindness & ethics, and empathy & forgiveness from both secular and Buddhist perspectives. Each class includes guided & silent meditation, in-depth practice discussion and some interactive practices.

    Beginning and veteran meditators welcome!

None. Please come with the willingness and curiosity to begin a meditation practice or refresh an existing one.

Wednesdays, September 27 - November 9th, with the exception of Thursday, October 12th and Thursday, November 9th, 6:30 – 8:30pm in Arcata.

  • Refuge & Renewal for the Heart

What does it mean to live a life of care, compassion and wisdom?… How do we cultivate the strength, steadiness and courage to live within turbulent times?… What gets in the way?

In these retreats we’ll tend to our hearts, minds and bodies by exploring practices like generosity, ethics, patience, effort, truthfulness, lovingkindness and equanimity.

Each peaceful afternoon will include sitting and walking meditation, gentle movement and interactive practices.

Sink into the peace and stillness of silence. Let the mind settle, the heart open and the body relax.

Customize these retreats to fit your schedule. Join us for any or all retreats!
